Half Term: Moon Mission at Eureka! 25 May – 2 June

Celebrate 50 years since humans first landed on the moon by seeing a NEW space show and take part in astronaut training in a human gyroscope this May Half-Term.

Take one small step to Eureka! this half term to celebrate 50 years since the Moon Landing.

This May Half-Term Eureka! will be launching a brand new space show and inviting budding space explorers to take part in astronaut training including a human gyroscope.

On every day from Saturday 25 May through to Sunday 2 June.

Looking for half-term adventures?

Join the new Moon Mission show, exploring how people first landed on the moon back in 1969 and what a remarkable achievement this was in the days when spacecraft had far less computing power than today’s average mobile phone. Find out what it was like to be on the moon, what we left up there, when we might go back and how the moon might be involved in deep space exploration in the future!
There will also be opening a brand new interactive tech exhibition – don’t miss Digital Dimensions. It’s on the ground floor of the Spark gallery until November.

Plus…

  • Budding astronauts can find out how they’d cope in zero gravity by being spun in a human gyroscope!
  • Test yourselves in a series of astro-training challenges in our galleries…
  • Stop by to see the Eureka! Space Explorer to see some genuine space artifacts and learn all about them.

Eureka! Moon Mission activities are included in standard admission, or free to annual pass holders.
