Aged 4-12? Head to your local library this summer and join The Summer Reading Challenge. It started Saturday 8 July and is available in all Calderdale Libraries but it’s still not too late to catch up!

Sign up to receive your special agent collector folder. Read at least 6 books over the holidays. Collect stickers for each book you read. The stickers will help you to crack the case and catch the crook!

Job Vacancy: ESOL tutors in Calderdale

Looking for the chance to implement ESOL/Citizenship training within Calderdale?

Then this is how you could do it . . .

Sessional ESOL Tutors, £18.36 per hour (including holiday pay)

Term Time Only (varied hours)

Halifax Opportunities Trust is seeking a pool of ESOL Tutors who are excellent classroom practitioners. The successful candidates will deliver a series of accredited and non-accredited ESOL/Citizenship programmes in community based settings (ranging from Pre-Entry to Entry Level 3).

The ideal persons should enjoy working with adult learners from a wide range of backgrounds, be culturally aware and possess excellent people skills. To be suitable for this role you must hold a recognisable ESOL teaching qualification.

Safeguarding children is a priority for Halifax Opportunities Trust. This post is subject to satisfactory references from the last 3 years of employment and an enhanced DBS check
