Calderdale Council have opened a shop at Brighouse Household Waste Recycling Site for the resale of good quality unwanted items. These can be donated at all household waste recycling centres in Calderdale:
Items they can re-use:
Furniture, home wares, clothing, bric-a-brac, sports equipment, tools and garden equipment
Stuffed furniture, such as sofas, mattresses, armchairs and cushions. These must have fire labels attached, dated from 1988 or later, whether indoor or outdoor furniture.
Children’s toys that display the CE mark on the toy, or its packaging. Showing that the manufacturer has declared that their product complies with European health, safety and environmental legislation.
Items they cannot re-use:

It’s a muddy obstacle course that women of any ability can climb over, crawl under, and charge through. Scramble over the A-frame. Crawl through the mud pit. Have fun with your friends. Make sure you put Wednesday 2 August 2017 in your diary. That’s the launch date for the Memory Lane Cafe at the Maurice Jagger Centre, Lister Street, Winding Road Halifax.
The cafe will be open on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month 2pm to 4pm and for £2 there are refreshments as well as crafts and activities, music and games and just general conversation. Sometimes you just want a brew and something to do.
