Bonfire safety and dark night talk at Beech Hill Primary School.

Last week, community warden Zameer Akhtar from the Halifax Central Initiative  accompanied by PC Sarah Hanson from the Halifax Central Neighbourhood Police team, visited Beech Hill Junior School, to prepare the children for the upcoming bonfire night and gave a talk on how to keep safe now winter is coming along with dark nights.

PC Sarah Hanson discussed with the children about bright reflective clothing like stickers on bags, or reflective armbands, making sure they arrive home on time and she also delivered a fun presentation on bonfire, fireworks and sparkler safety. The whole assembly got involved, with asking questions and wanting to know more.

The whole school learned how to keep themselves safe and seen over bonfire nights and winter, and fun was had by all.  We would like to thank our neighbourhood Police team in working together to keep our communities safe.
