Garden Party at All Souls Church, Haley Hill

all souls.jpgAll Souls Church, Haley Hill, Boothtown, Halifax HX3 6DR will be holding a Garden Party on Saturday 29 June, 11:00am-1:00pm.

This Halifax landmark is one of most magnificent buildings to be designed by architect Sir George Gilbert Scott and paid for by Edward Akroyd, a Halifax manufacturer. Scott thought it his best church but he still lamented it was not grander still.

Completed in 1859, it has a 72-metre-high spire and dazzling stained glass created by Victorian master craftsmen.

Join the volunteers for a cup of tea and take your stories and memories of the church. Perhaps you were married here or part of the congregation?

Discover the history and talk to our team of dedicated volunteers about how you can get involved. Even if you only have a little time to give, they would still welcome your help. Please come and get involved if you would like to volunteer to care for this beautiful building which is celebrating 160 years.

*If the weather is poor the event will be inside the church

This is a FREE event and there is no need to book, but if you have any questions please contact Alison Pearce  on apearce@thecct.org.uk
