A successful community clean up took place this morning at Bankfield Museum in Boothtown. Calderdale Council along with staff from the Museum, the local neighbourhood police team and Boothtown residents volunteers joined together to help clean up the grounds of the property.
After recent reports of anti social behaviour taking place at Bankfield, it was decided action needed to be done about this popular visitor centre. 12 bin bags of rubbish were filled from the park surrounding the museum. Our community wardens were on hand to provide information about reporting fly-tipping and community clean ups.
It was great to have these services work together with local residents and see such an achievement. Another clean up will take place at Bankfield in December, if you are interested in getting involved or have a place in mind that would benefit from a community clean up, please get in touch.
