Landlines and Watermarks is a major celebratory creative programme happening right now in Calderdale and here is your chance to join in the celebration.
We are on the lookout for volunteers for the weekend of 29 Sept – 1 Oct 2017 to help us run two exciting large scale community events – The People’s Fair and Calderland – in the stunning surroundings of The Piece Hall Halifax.
The People’s Fair will be a family friendly marketplace and festival, bringing together creative
businesses, artists, and community organisations. Calderland is a major community
music production, with almost 150 people taking part as singers and musicians. Together both
events celebrate all that is special about the Calder Valley and the people that live there.
We are looking for volunteers. Can you help?
We need volunteers for a range of roles including:
- Welcoming visitors to The Piece Hall, offering programmes/flyers, advising visitors about lay-out and location of amenities.
- Acting as stewards, helping people to find viewing spots and seating for Calderland
Stewarding smaller performance events and happenings throughout the day.
Assisting stall holders by checking off arrivals and offering assistance with set-up where required.
Looking after performers – welcoming them and directing them to the green rooms.
Assisting the Production Team by acting as runners and liaising with them to get the performers to the right places on time.
Volunteering is interesting and rewarding; so if you are a good communicator with great interpersonal skills; can deal with a range of enquiries from members of the public, have a flexible and proactive approach with a friendly disposition and can offer commitment and reliability, then we would like to hear from you!
