We are looking to recruit a Community Link Worker to be part of the Neighbourhood Team at Halifax Central Initiative, based at Queens Road Neighbourhood Centre.
Applicants must have experience of working in a paid or voluntary capacity with residents and/or community groups within a diverse community. Applicants must have good organisational and team working skills with the ability to communicate clearly in writing and face to face with a broad range of people. A knowledge and understanding of the issues that face people living in neighbourhoods like Halifax Central will be an essential requirement of the role.
The role requires a good command of written and spoken English and Czech. You will be required to work with residents from all communities particularly focusing on Eastern European/Roma Heritage residents.

Applicants to posts that are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act will require a DBS (formerly CRB) from the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed.
Salary Scale 3/4, £9,397 to £10,583 per annum, £9.74 to £10.97 per hour
Package 18.5 hours per week, permanent contract.
