Calderdale Council are creating a new service within the Community Safety and Resilience Team designed to provide a 24hour Wardens Service to benefit the residents of Calderdale.  This team will have responsibility to deliver CCTV monitoring, provide visible patrols across Calderdale and facilitate the Council’s out of hours emergency response to critical incidents such as flooding or increased community tension.

We are looking for somebody to work with our clients to help them learn basic cooking and baking skills, if you can spare a few hours a week on a regular basis we would love to hear from you.
This is an unpaid position but out of pocket expenses i.e. travel costs may be payable.

Do you have a banking or accounting background or are you just good with figures?
We urgently need a treasurer to join our board of trustees, the role overseeing the organisations accounts, staff salaries (2 staff) annual financial audit and presenting a financial statement to the board at monthly trustee meetings, this role will require approximately 10 hours per month and is an unpaid position.

Keep fit
Are you a qualified instructor at Keep Fit, Zumba etc., we are seeking somebody who can provide a regular day time session to help get our clients more active, we wish to to discuss a range of possibilities with you as some of our clients will require chair based exercise whist others will be more active.
We are happy to pay on a sessional basis.

Job Vacancy: Regional Women-Centred Advisor and Trainer at the WomensCentre

Connecting Opportunities: Women-Centred Advice, Training and Evaluation

Fixed Term for 2 years: 1st July 2017 to 30th June 2019

Salary: SO1 (Point 29-31) £25,951 – £27,668 (pro rata) womencentre

Hours: 20 hours/week

Location: Primarily WomenCentre’s Huddersfield office, but involves working across the region with project partners.

We’re looking for a Regional Women-Centred Advisor and Trainer who is passionate about and has experience of women-centred ways of working with vulnerable women migrants. As part of the regional Connecting Opportunities project, the postholder will work directly with ten project partners to join up what already exists, explore new ideas, training and advice about women-centred ways of working and input to the evaluation of the overall project focusing on women-centred ways of evaluating.

Connecting Opportunities is a new project to increase integration in Leeds City Region by supporting the most socially excluded new migrants to tackle the complex barriers they face in integrating in their local areas, increasing their employability, or finding work. Connecting Opportunities is funded by the Big Lottery and the European Social Fund as part of the Building Better Opportunities programme.
