From 22-25 September there is a Science Fiction Festival at Brighouse and Central Library. The festival falls on the week of the 150^th Anniversary of H.G. Wells’ birthday and there are events for both adults and children, including author events and film screenings. On Saturday 23 September at Brighouse Library there will be face painting, special effects creature makeup and fancy dress. If you’re interested in taking part in the festival, either face painting or donating any costumes or props that fall into the science fiction genre or if you can offer any appropriate skills, including mask making, storytelling or just generally volunteering to help out please contact haley.green@calderdale.gov.uk.
