Job Vacancy: Care Manager Heath Stroke Club

Care Manager

Hours 30 per week. Rate of Pay £13.22 per hour from 1st April 2016

To help meet the demands of a busy day centre and community based services we are looking for an experienced Care Manager to undertake this challenging role.

You will play a key role in managing and developing a range of services that improve the quality of life for adults living with stroke and other physical disabilities as well as providing hand’s on service delivery. In addition you will be required to support, supervise and train staff and volunteers and manage our own transport service

Ideal candidates will need:

  • A recognised professional qualification in Health Care or Social Work ( eg NVQ level 4 in care/ management/leadership; Dip SW or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in a related health & social care setting
  • Two years’ experience in a management or supervisory role with experience of staff supervision and appraisal and managing rotas
  • Experience of managing budgets
  • Ability to lead and motivate staff and volunteers
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with all relevant agencies and local networks
  • Ability to prioritise own workload and that of a team
  • A sound understanding of the need of adults living with stroke and other physical disabilities
  • Ability to manage and develop our transport vehicles
