Our aim is to train as many children and young adults as possible to be able to perform lifesaving CPR. We are encouraging as many local schools and youth groups to get involved in the day, with the aim of building the next generation of life savers in Calderdale.
Our qualified trainers have volunteered to take part in the day. They will be available from 9am – 2pm to travel to local schools, where they are able to facilitate a 1 hour interactive training session. (Maximum of 12 participants per group). From 3pm – 8pm our trainers will be based back at our training centre in Mytholmroyd, where you can… book onto one of our scheduled 1 hour training sessions.
Participants will receive a certificate for attending, alongside a small gift. There will be games, prizes and cakes for sale on the day, with all proceeds going to the British Heart Foundation.
It doesn’t matter how old you are, these skills are vital in performing lifesaving CPR. So please encourage your pupils, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews to take part.
Don’t let them miss out on this FREE opportunity.

The Equality Forum for Calderdale aims to provide an opportunity for the views and needs of different communities of interest to be fed into the policy and service planning processes of statutory organisations within the district.
The Equality Forum for Calderdale will hold its annual public meeting on Wednesday 4th October. The meeting will take place at the Kings Centre, Park Road, Halifax, HX1 2TS from 5.30pm. We are pleased to announce that Julie Killey, Service Manager for Commissioning & Partnership (Adult & Children’s Service) will be attending.
All members of the public are welcome to attend as it will provide you the opportunity to ask direct questions on issues that may be of concern to you. It is important that all members of the community representing different groups attend to ensure that we are listening and taking into consideration issues that affect you in terms of Commissioning & Partnership in Calderdale and we can then try and address some of these concerns.
