When The Piece Hall reopens at 9.30am on Yorkshire Day, 1 August; the fascinating history of the monumental Grade I Listed structure will be brought to life with an imaginative range of FREE activities.

Launch into action with a special heritage challenge that will take you on a journey of discovery around Britain’s last surviving cloth hall, meet the characters of Mr and Mrs Caygill who played a vital role in the building of The Piece Hall in 1779 and try your hand at weaving on the giant loom.

Other activities will encourage you to tap into your creative side with hand-printed plaques and the debut of the brand new activity cart and family trail.
