Brighouse 1940’s Weekend is the premier 1940s event in the country. The whole town centre will be taken over with displays & re-enactments. Walk around streets filled singing and dancing. It’s all free to enter, making for a great family fun weekend.
Brighouse is getting ready to stage the premier free 1940s event in the country. After the last two year’s wonderful successes this year’s event will be even bigger and better. It takes place from Friday June 5th to Sunday June 7th.The whole town centre will be taken over with displays, re-enactments, music, dance and family entertainment. As you walk around streets filled with people in 40s outfits, past 40s shop windows and displays of vintage vehicles, you’ll find something of interest at every corner, one display leads to another. With 40s music in the air, sights to see and good food and drink available all around, what more could you wish for and it’s all free to enter, making for a great family fun weekend. See re-enactors, singers, dancers, military displays & vehicles, RAF flyover, a vintage market, parades and free demonstrations.
