Fundraising and Retail Manager –Closing date 3rd May
(Maternity cover minimum 10 month contract)
Salary circa £30,000
37.5 hours per week including regular weekend work.
Overgate Hospice are seeking a talented and experienced person who thrives on both leading and working within an established Fundraising, Volunteering and Marketing Team. An experienced fundraiser, you will have a clear track record of success in securing funds through your own effort and by leading and inspiring teams. You will have the ability to enthuse and motivate supporters and donors and to build relationships at the highest level. The successful candidate will implement strategic plans as a member of the Senior Management team regarding income generation.
As part of the role you will work closely with the Head of Retail and report shop income and functions to the Board of Directors to ensure we maximise income.
The successful candidate will have:
- Management experience
- Significant experience of developing and implementing successful income generation campaigns
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to represent the Hospice at all levels
- Successful track record of achieving, and significantly increasing a charity’s income generation targets, and proven ability to maximise return on investment
- Strong management and leadership skills including demonstrable experience of managing individual and team performance.
Flexibility is a crucial element of this role as no two days are the same. It is essential the successful candidate has a working knowledge of databases and possesses good IT skills, particularly using Microsoft applications (outlook, word, excel, power point).
