Job Vacancy: Community IAG Worker

18.5hrs per Week £14,863 per annum, 3 year fixed term contract with annual review

Are you able to support adults who are adjusting to new circumstances, careers or life changing situations in a community setting? Have you supported unemployed people back into work?

If yes, we have an opportunity for a qualified and experienced Adult Careers Adviser to provide Information Advice and Guidance face to face to the local community of Crosland Moor and surrounding areas.

Knowledge of community based education and training initiatives is important as well as a genuine interest in the issues that face BME groups and their families.

You will need to be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently with little supervision.

The role will entail considerable project management, regular monitoring and evaluation, stakeholder engagement, report writing and representing the organisation as a whole at local events and forums in the public, private and voluntary sectors.

You will hold a Level 3/4 Advice & Guidance NVQ with relevant industry experience. A teaching qualification is a desirable criteria for this post.

The ability to converse in community languages in Punjabi/Urdu is essential.

The post holder will also have some fundraising experience researching, securing and maximising income from trusts, lottery and statutory sources
