I do think that Age UK should look at its administration systems before advertising for yet more volunteers. When I telephoned for information and an application for a previous advertised volunteer role I was answered by a very ‘under pressure’ sounding person who was very curt and hurriedly took details etc. Two weeks later still nothing received. Please Age UK look at your systems and personnel in Calderdale as I suspect you are losing lots of good will.
Just based on the way the phone was answered and how i was dealt with put me off volunteering for Age UK, the fact that nothing has been received has helped with that decision.
