The 101 number is coming up to its 6 month anniversary! It replaced the old 0845 in 2011 to report non emergency crime. It is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Call 101 to contact the police to report less urgent crime and disorder or to speak to your local officers.
For example, call 101:
- if your car has been stolen
- if your property has been damaged
- if you suspect drug use or dealing in your local area
- to report a minor traffic accident
- to give the police information about crime in your area
- to speak to the police about a general enquiry
The friendly home assessment includes a review of household bills, energy saving advice, and free installation of basic measures such as draught excluders, energy efficient light bulbs, pipe lagging, reflective radiator panels and TV and computer power downs. The Green Doctors can also provide advice on grants for further improvements, as well as information on other environmental issues such as recycling, composting and water use.
