Liaison and Diversion (Kirklees)

 1 x 37 Hour post until March 31^st 2025

SCALE 18 – 22 (£24,982 to £27,041 per annum) WomenCentre is working in partnership with Wakefield Council to provide a West Yorkshire L and D service funded by NHS England. WC will provide gender specific support for women at the point of arrest with a view to diverting them away from the Criminal Justice System into support services to address identified vulnerabilities to improve their health and well-being and reduce the risk of re-offending. The post will be based in Calderdale but offering strong links to our WomenCentre wider services. Full details can be downloaded here

WomenCentre Volunteer Coordinator -Kirklees

Kirklees Volunteer Coordinator based in Huddersfield and Dewsbury

Fixed term contract until September 2024 18.5 hrs per week – SCALE 6  SCP18 – 22      ( £24,982 to £27,041 per annum – pro-rata)

Background

As a large women’s centre we support around 2,000 women and girls in Calderdale and Kirklees, aged from their early teens into their 80s. We offer a women-centred, integrated ‘one-stop shop’ service which recognises the links between the different problems and challenges women face in their lives, within a safe, involving and empowering space.

Many of the women and girls accessing our services have experienced trauma and are at points of crisis in their lives. Full details can be downloaded here
