Counselling Practitioners Bradford Survive & Thrive

Part-time Counsellor

(16 hours post, funded until 30 September 2023)

Scale points 23-25, £27,741- £29,577 pro rata.

As part of the Bradford Survive and Thrive contract; Staying Put, WomenCentre & Family Action are delivering a service to ensure families who have experienced domestic abuse & sexual violence receive the right support at the right time, to make them safe, sooner, and help promote recovery and healing.

We are looking to recruit experienced counsellors. To apply you will need to have:

  • A minimum of two years post qualification experience of offering individual counselling to people who have been exposed to domestic abuse and/or sexual violence
  • and/or over two years of domestic abuse and or sexual violence support experience
  • A sound knowledge of relevant support services.

In a bid to complete the existing team of Counsellors and to meet the needs of service users based in Bradford District, we are seeking to recruit one counsellor with community language skills, preferably Punjabi. This post is open to women only- (Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1 applies).

Post holders will be based in the Bradford District as part of the Survive and Thrive Service but will be employed by WomenCentre Ltd. and will work in a range of outreach venues across Bradford.

Post holders will need to be within driving distance of Bradford City centre.
