Active North Halifax Community engagement Coordinator
Based in the Neighbourhood team at Kevin Pearce Children’s Centre
37 hours per week
£26,045 per annum
North Halifax Partnership is looking to appoint an individual to lead the Active Calderdale place-based work in North Halifax.
The role involves:
- Establishing relationships with community organisations, services, projects and programmes to embed the Active Calderdale agenda and change how physical activity is perceived and approached at a local level.
- Understanding the driving factors affecting physical inactivity levels in a place and working with the community to address and change these factors.
It is essential that you have
- Experience of developing and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships that deliver impact.
- A track record of achievement of results and impact gained by experience in a field related to community development.
We are especially looking for someone who will recognise the existing potential in North Halifax and be able to harness the power of the community to find solutions that are practical and lasting. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge and understanding of approaches of addressing physical inactivity in communities and will have the ability to advocate for local people, whilst keeping good working relationships with service providers.
