As part of that Mission we have a dedicated Youth work Team, working in the Heart of Together Housing communities.
Newgrounds Youth Team (NYT) deliver a range of Youth Work programmes across the north and we are looking for someone to join our Calderdale Team, with a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of young people and the communities we serve.
Young People are at the heart of all we do, Youth work provision is developed by young people for young people. Based on listening to them and the wider community to form a clear understanding of the local needs, challenges and opportunities young people have in Calderdale.
Our aim is to give young people the opportunities, experiences and skills to develop their understanding to make informed choices about their lives. In turn building their resilience, confidence and determination to achieve. The Calderdale Team has supported over 300 young people 8-24years old in the last year and we are looking for a Project Officer to join our team. The role will involve Detached Youth work, one to one, open access youth clubs, online group work and youth employment provision.
NYT pride themselves on ensuring that young people have someone to listen, to trust and to talk to. The successful candidate for this role will be developing and delivering an exciting and varied programme, which includes a wide range of diversionary activities, informal youth work activities and 121 Support.
This post is funded until 31st March 2022. The continuation of the post after that date will depend on alternative funding and activities being identified.
