Halifax Central Initiative Community Wardens, Jonny Cato and Zameer Akhtar were out on Saturday 4 January, carrying out speed checks in Savile Park on Free School Lane with 2 PCSO’s from the Neighbourhood Police Team.
The Smiley Face device responds to drivers obeying or breaking the speed limits with either a smiley or a sad face. The data obtained from these events is used to inform future actions by West Yorkshire Police in resect of road safety and speeding.
The wardens and the PCSO’s were invited to join the coffee morning taking place in St Jude’s church hall where they were thanked by the residents for the tackling speeding issues in the area.
