At the end of August HCI staff along with the local Neighbourhood Police team headed by beat officer PC. Craig Collins held a successful community clean up in the St Augustines terrace area in west central Halifax, after we had received reports from local residents of a large amount of litter and some drug debris in the street and park area.. 8 bags full of rubbish from the street and park area were collected by staff and volunteers who came out to help clean up the area. On our arrival we were joined by a number of local young people. Hopefully the youths who helped will encourage their friends and neighbours to keep the area clean. If you have an area in mind that would benefit from a community clean up please get in touch with either your local NPT Police/HCI, thank you to everyone who got involved.
