Salterhebble Locks, Saturday 18 May, 10 – 4pm. Canal & River Trust (formerly British Waterways) will be leading a Task Day – all welcome, no experience needed. Work will include weeding, clearing vegetation and painting. Volunteers are advised to wear stout shoes and old clothes and bring waterproofs. Tea and coffee provided. Come along for the whole day (bring a packed lunch) or just call in for an hour or two. Parking and meeting place in car park by Salterhebble Locks, off A6026 Wakefield Road immediately before junction with the A629.
