Maternity Cover / Secondment Opportunity
Fire Service Headquarters, Birkenshaw
£24,646 – £26,276 per annum

To assist West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Authority in delivering effective, proactive and reactive internal and external communication. Liaise with the media in relation to press coverage, securing publicity opportunities and supporting community safety campaigns. Production of internal news bulletins and staff magazines will also be required.

Candidates must have a proven track record as public relations professional or a journalist and proven success in media handling, delivery of communications projects and internal communication. You will have excellent written and oral communication, presentational and interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively with a wide range of people and organisations. You will be able to plan and deliver structured training and briefings and be able to organise events.
