Salary: £26,000 pro rata, 4 days per week, based in central Manchester, maternity cover

The Canal and River Trust is looking for a talented and experienced professional to undertake the role of Development Manager for the Rochdale Canal to cover maternity leave of the current post holder. The successful candidate will develop and deliver projects that encourage people to value, care for and use the Rochdale Canal between Castlefield Basin in Manchester and Sowerby Bridge in Calderdale. It is a challenging role that will involve maintaining existing working partnerships with a wide range of local organisations and well as identifying and building new external relationships. You’ll also manage project budgets, get involved with the implementation of funding plans, and provide stakeholders with regular progress updates. To succeed in this role you will need experience of community-based project work and a proven track record in partnership working. You’ll also be financially astute with the strategic ability to develop and implement effective fundraising plans.
