Homeworking Development Worker
1 Part time post 14.5 hours (Female) (£21,519 – £26,276 pa, pro rata)
The not-for-profit Pay & Employment Rights Service (PERS) provides advice, literature and training on rights at work and homeworking.
We are looking for someone to join a friendly, busy team. The Homeworking Development Worker will work closely with the Homeworking Team in supporting individuals wanting to work from home or start their own business. You will provide advice, training and one-to-one support to these individuals, and will work with voluntary and community organisations in raising awareness of homeworking issues.
You should have experience of giving business support, outreach in the community and of empowering individuals and groups. As the post holder will be providing welfare and business support in a homeworker’s own home, and visiting female-only (and mixed gender training) sessions, the post holder will be female (Schedule 9, part 1 The Equality Act 2010) Terms and conditions of employment include: employer’s pension contribution (5.5% of salary) and annual holiday of 8.2 weeks (inclusive of bank / public holidays).
