Applications are invited for the post of AWYA (Association of West Yorkshire Authorities) Research and Intelligence Officer.
37 Hours per week, salary: Grade 9 £28,636 – £30,851, location

Based in Wakefield, this post holder will work directly to the AWYA Manager providing expert research and policy activity to ensure the organisation supports the political and managerial leadership of the five West Yorkshire authorities.
This post holder will lead a sub-regional policy response to agendas, issues and concerns prioritised by West Yorkshire Chief Executives and Leaders and will identify and progress other collaborative opportunities where a sub-regional response can clearly add value.
These agendas will cut across a wide range of topics and issues such as community safety, policing, health, adult social care, children’s services, transport and regeneration, community cohesion, preventing violent extremism, shared services, trade union engagement and so forth.
The post holder will take a specific lead on intelligence and research relating to the work of the West Yorkshire Police and Crime Panel providing expert analysis and policy advice so the Police and Crime Panel can effectively assess the impact of the Police and Crime Commissioner in West Yorkshire. The post holder will also lead on communications on behalf of the Panel.
