RASOI is a new Manasamitra project exploring the stories, memories, music and heritage held within South Asian food
across West Yorkshire.
What does a recipe remember?
Join us for a free, friendly and accessible creative workshop, you don’t need to be a cook or have any creative experience — just bring your curiosity and your food stories!
We’ll explore recipes, ingredients, smells and tastes, and how food helps us keep memories, traditions and heritage alive.
Share a recipe, discover a new story, write something, make something, listen, talk — or simply enjoy spending time with others.
Some of the recipes and stories gathered through the project will feature in a new creative recipe book and digital archive, celebrating
South Asian food heritage as something living and evolving, shared from generation to generation.
