DOMESTIC ABUSE SUPPORT WORKER FOR MALE VICTIMS

18.5 hours per week

Scale 6, Pts 18 – 22 £25,419 to 27,514 (Pro Rata)

This post is a fixed term contract until 30^th June 2025

The role involves providing a specialist, pro-active and a risk led response to all male victims of domestic abuse. The support will reflect individual risks and needs, enabling male victims to build confidence and make informed decisions about their future. The work will require partnership working and excellent communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant qualification and/or considerable experience in working with adults who have been impacted by domestic abuse.

To complete the Staying Safe team, we would particularly welcome applicationsfrom men to enable Staying Safe to give male victims the option to have support from a male worker whilst also meeting contractual requirements.

The post will be based at the WomenCentre’s office in central Halifax.
