Vacancy with Staying Safe Domestic Abuse Support Team

YOUNG PEOPLE’S VIOLENCE ADVOCATE (YPVA)

Fixed contract until June 2025

30 Hours per week

SO1 Pts 23 – 25 (£28,226 – £30,095)

The role involves providing a specialist, pro-active and a risk led response to young people who are victims of domestic abuse. The support will reflect individual risks and needs, enabling young people to build confidence and make informed decisions about their future. The work will require considerable partnership working. Suitable candidates will have risk assessment skills, an understanding of the legal framework relating to domestic abuse and excellent communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have considerable experience in working with adults affected by domestic abuse combined with in depth knowledge and experience of working with young people who have complex needs.
