Women’s Mental Health Facilitator; Dewsbury Centre; Fixed term contract until September 2023
18.5 hrs per week – SCALE 18 – 22 ( £24,982 to £27,041 per annum – pro-rata)
We are recruiting an experienced Mental Health Facilitator with a passion of working with women from diverse backgrounds and communities with varying needs and with an interest in developing our centre in Dewsbury as a community-based service. It is expected that the post holder develops services within North Kirklees, enabling a safe confidential space for women living in this area. The service reduces isolation, providing structure and enhancing women’s lives and promoting better mental health and well-being. The postholder will work in partnership with other mental health providers and volunteers.
This post requires :
Experience of working directly with women from diverse backgrounds
Experience of working with women with mental health needs and vulnerabilities
Experience of delivering group-based work, courses and peer support activities
Experience of work in community settings
Willingness to undertake practical aspects of cleaning, tidying and basic safety and security duties
Ability to speak a community language would be desirable.
