Yorkshire and the Humber Self Harm Research Project

The University of Sheffield in collaboration with the Yorkshire and the Humber Mental Health & Suicide Prevention Community of Improvement Network are conducting a research study to better understand self-harm in the region and to explore the barriers and facilitators to accessing support.

Who can take part?

If you are aged 18 or over, have experience of self-harm (e.g. by injury, self-poisoning or taking an overdose) and live in the Yorkshire and Humber region, we would like to speak to you about your experiences of this and of any help or support you have had.

What do I have to do?

We would like to interview people, for about an hour, about their experiences. Our interviewers are shown below – you can tell us if you prefer a male or female interviewer.
