Next Monday is Brew Monday 2022

This Brew Monday, 17 January, the Samaritans is reminding everyone to reach out for a cuppa and a virtual catch-up with friends, family members or colleagues.
It doesn’t matter if it’s a Monday morning or a Saturday night, or if you’re drinking green tea, black coffee or orange juice, if you’re sharing a cuppa and listening, you’re doing it right; just taking time to really listen to another person could help them work through what’s on their mind.
Because now more than ever, sharing a cuppa is more than a drink – it’s about reaching out, checking in and staying connected.

West Yorkshire Be Prepared Community Grant Initiative

The Community Grant Initiative will provide communities across West Yorkshire with £50,000 of funding for projects, which will help to boost resilience and preparedness in the region.

Whether for flood prevention and protection, essential communication devices or emergency response equipment, our aim is to enable more to be done at a local level by providing small, one-off grants where communities need it most.

We will be awarding amounts of up to £5000 to community groups and voluntary organisations for small community initiatives and projects, which will provide a direct benefit to local communities.

This initiative is open to all, but we would particularly welcome applications from community and voluntary groups working in more deprived communities and/or areas in which there are clear and present risks.

The closing date for applications is 31st January 2022.

Find out more here… https://www.westyorkshireprepared.org.uk/community-grant/
