The West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership’s Personalised Care Programme are delivering, in partnership with Healthwatch Leeds and partners, training to upskill health, social care and VCSE staff and volunteers in Enhanced Communication. This training is aimed at those implementing personalised care across West Yorkshire, including health, social care and VCSE staff and volunteers who need to be able to deliver, personalised care, taking into account individual needs, preferences and circumstances. We understand that the NHS vaccine delivery is the highest prioritisation of the NHS especially over the coming months. We also understand that colleagues may be unable to attend a training session due to supporting vaccine delivery. Therefore we would like to make you aware that a range of sessions will be available between January and March. Furthermore, if training participants commitments suddenly change we will aim to accommodate participants on alternative sessions where available.
The training will provide an opportunity to learn more about communicating with people who have learning disabilities, autism, a neuro-diverse condition, sensory or speech impairment in the context of personalised care. The training is open to participants within the West Yorkshire and Harrogate region only and places are limited.
