Household support fund grants by December 2nd

Are you a Not-for-profit organisation who are supporting people and families who are vulnerable and are facing hardship this Winter?

The Department for Work & Pensions (DWP) has provided councils with funds to offer direct support to households facing hardship this Winter. These grants are for organisations who help people keep warm, clean, and fed this Winter.

The objective of the Household Support Fund is to provide support to vulnerable households in most need of support this winter as the economy recovers. The fund should primarily offer food and energy support but also provision has been made to support households in need of other essentials e.g. blankets, toiletries, bills, fuel.

Grants are available on a sliding scale depending on how many people you are supporting and applications need to be in by 2nd December 2021.

For full details about this fund, application process and more winter support options, visit Household Support Fund – Community Foundation For Calderdale (cffc.co.uk)

What’s happening with YORtender?

As you may already know, Calderdale Council uses an e-portal to advertise and receive quotes and tenders. The system that the Council uses is YORtender, a regional system shared by all of the Yorkshire & Humber authorities. In conjunction with all other Yorkshire and Humber local authorities and WYCA, the system is currently being changed over from its current provider, Proactis, to a new provider, Mercell EU Supply. This means that the system is moving to a different web address: https://yortender.eu-supply.com/ . The name of the system will still be YORtender.
