Tomorrow is Diwali, the festival of light, where Hindus, Sikhs and other faiths celebrate with family and friends. Diwali is a time for celebration of the victory of good over evil, light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance. In today’s turbulent times, the festival of lights reaffirms hope, commitment to friendship and goodwill. It helps us remember the joys of life and we definitely need that now more than ever.
Enjoy the good food, the celebrations and the fireworks! If you’re planning to meet friends or family, you can reduce the risk of COVID-19 spreading by meeting outdoors, and if you do meet indoors, letting plenty of fresh air in. If you’re celebrating with older family and friends or those that are clinically vulnerable, why not think about giving the hugs and kisses a miss this year?
Wishing you and yours a happy and safe Diwali/Bandi Chhor Diwas.
