Wednesday 28 July 2021, will mark the 70th anniversary of the 1951 Refugee Convention, and St Augustine’s Centre are asking you to help them celebrate!

The orange heart is a symbol used by the #TogetherWithRefugees campaign and we want to flood the Calderdale Valley with orange hearts to show our support for this important anniversary. All you have to do is take a picture holding an orange heart and tag St Augustine’s on social media and/or email it to them.
The heart can be made of anything you choose and we would like to see pictures snapped in front of Halifax landmarks. Lets show the world that this is #WhoWeAre.
Can you take photographs or videos of you and an 🧡 orange heart 🧡 at local Calderdale landmarks? Or feature the 🧡 orange heart 🧡 in some other creative way and take lots of photos that we can share? On walks, at work, in your home – ANYWHERE! You can create your own 🧡 orange heart 🧡or you can print one from this folder. Be sure to share your activities on social media using the hashtag #TogetherWithRefugees. You might also want to write a quote or a pledge on your 🧡 orange heart 🧡.
