Information Support Officer

Job ref: Req3590   Salary SO1 £27,741-£29,577

Do you enjoy managing and communicating information? Are you looking for an interesting and varied role?

If so, our information support worker post might be just what you’re looking for.
You’ll need:

  • Experience in information or records management
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Enthusiasm for details and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
  • The flexibility to switch easily between different types of work

You’ll help us ensure that our information handling and record keeping are excellent. You’ll also assist colleagues in keeping our social media channels, websites and multimedia resources up to date and in getting documents ready for publication.

Data and Statistics Manager

Job ref: req3567     Salary PO4 £38,890 – £41,881

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Data and Statistics Manager to lead this area of work across Yorkshire and Humber on behalf of Migration Yorkshire and key partners. This will include leading the development and dissemination of statistical outputs to best meet the migration and integration data needs of local authorities and applying quantitative material on migration and integration to promote the use, understanding and development of the regional evidence base on this topic.

You will have in-depth expertise in statistics and appropriate statistical tools and concepts, which you’ll relish communicating effectively to improve access to, and understanding of, migration statistics. In a sector where key statistics can be non-existent or easily misunderstood, you’ll apply lateral thinking to problem-solve and apply available data to support strategy development, service planning and delivery. This post involves problem-solving, an eye for accuracy and detail, and an ability to create and maintain good relationships.

Refugee and Migrant Participation Officer

Job ref: req3774     Salary PO1 £31,346 – £33,782

We are looking for someone enthusiastic about integration and who has ‘lived experience’ as a refugee or migrant. You will have experience of increasing the involvement and participation of excluded groups in services or community settings, be capable of addressing barriers and developing new and innovative ways of working collaboratively. The post holder will support existing initiatives at Migration Yorkshire and develop new ones. Current Migration Yorkshire initiatives focusing specifically on participation of refugees and migrants include Peer Researchers, Connecting Opportunities Community Champions, the Resettlement Refugee Advisory Group, and employer engagement opportunities.

The purpose of this job is to increase the involvement of refugees and migrants to improve support, service delivery and integration outcomes for new migrants and refugees across the Yorkshire and Humber region. This role will work across all Migration Yorkshire projects and activities, working with partner organisations, key organisations and volunteers.

Finance Support Officer

Job ref: Req3462   Salary PO2 £32,910 – £35,745

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Finance Support Officer to support work across Yorkshire and Humber on behalf of Migration Yorkshire and key partners. This will include assisting in the development, implementation and monitoring of financial and performance management systems and support project partners to develop robust and consistent processes and procedures.

Assistant Finance Support Officer

Job ref: req3047              Salary C1 £22,183 – £24,491

We’re looking for an assistant finance support officer to work on Refugee Integration Service (RIS. You’ll be part of the Migration Yorkshire team and you’ll provide support across RIS, including assisting in the monitoring of financial and performance management systems for the project and liaising with the UK Responsible Authority (UKRA) and partner organisations.  The key skills we are looking for include:

  • Experience of maintaining spreadsheets and databases for financial monitoring.
  • Experience of working with other finance officers in a range of public sector organisations at a similar level.
  • Experience of working in partnership with others to deliver work to set deadlines.
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise financial reports and summaries (including written reports).
  • Ability to assist in the monitoring, analysis and reporting on project performance.

These post are funded through ‘Refugee Integration Yorkshire & Humber’ which provides comprehensive support to improve the integration of refugees, with a strategic approach and front-line services, underpinned by research, evidence and refugee participation. Refugee Integration Yorkshire & Humber will deliver a regional strategy with commitments from all partners, galvanise key services, employers and civil society, produce robust research, and provide local one-to-one support and opportunities for individual refugees.

The project is managed by Migration Yorkshire and delivered across the Yorkshire and Humber region through a partnership of statutory and third sector organisations. The project is part funded by the European Union Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund.
