
We are looking to recruit a Community Link Worker to be part of the Neighbourhood Team at Halifax Central Initiative, based at Queens Road Neighbourhood Centre.
Applicants must have experience of working in a paid or voluntary capacity with residents and/or community groups within a diverse community. Applicants must have good organisational and team working skills with the ability to communicate clearly in writing and face to face with a broad range of people. A knowledge and understanding of the issues that face people living in neighbourhoods like Halifax Central will be an essential requirement of the role.
You will be required to work with residents from all communities particularly focusing on Eastern European/Roma Heritage residents. It is essential that the post-holder has the ability to communicate in Czech/Slovak verbally and in writing.

Applicants to posts that are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act will require a DBS (formerly CRB) from the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed.
