We are looking to recruit a Communtiy Link Worker to be part of the Neighbourhood Team at Halifax Central Initiative, based at Queens Road Neighbourhood Centre.
Salary Scale 3/4, SCP5 – 11, £9,656 to £10,874 per annum (salary for part time) Package18.5 hours per week, permanent contract
Applicants must have experience of working in a paid or voluntary capacity with residents and/or community groups within a diverse community. Applicants must have good organisational and team working skills with the ability to communicate clearly in writing and face to face with a broad range of people. A knowledge and understanding of the issues that face people living in neighbourhoods like Halifax Central will be an essential requirement of the role.
The role requires a good command of written and spoken English and Czech. You will be required to work with residents from all communities particularly focusing on Eastern European/Roma Heritage residents.
