Virtual VE Day

To celebrate the 75th anniversary of VE Day, our military history curator John put together an online mini-exhibition of objects from Calderdale during the Second World War. These include ration books, gas masks and uniforms and show what life was like in the region during the war. Check it out here.

Photographic Memories Online

While our popular ‘Photographic Memories’ exhibition at Bankfield Museum is closed, you’ll be able to see views of places and people of Calderdale in an online exhibition that have never been displayed before! This will go live on Friday 22nd May 2020 – keep an eye on our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for the latest info!

A Town Through Time

Smith Art Gallery’s current exhibition of paintings and photographs by local artists ‘A Town Through Time’ will be online from this Friday 15th May 2020. The exhibition will take you through the history of the town and change within Brighouse in the last two centuries, and you don’t even have to leave your couch! Waterloo Exhibition – Coming Soon

We are working hard to bring you an online exhibition on the 205th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo.
