Ladies from the AWAAS Group in Park Ward, with ladies from the Reach Out Group from Sowerby Bridge got together today to cook a hot meal for those affected by the floods on Sunday. They cooked dahl and basmati rice at The Outback in Park Ward , which was then  delivered to 60 properties in Mytholmroyd by staff from Halifax Central Initiative and also to the volunteers working in the flood hub.

The food was very much appreciated by the residents and the ladies were really happy that they had been able to offer some help with the flood relief efforts and in doing so demonstrated the community spirit that runs throughout the whole of Calderdale; together we care for each other.
