Have your say….Special Educational Needs (SEN) Reforms

Tuesday 13 May, 10.00 – 12.30

Awareness Raising Event for the Voluntary Sector – Special Educational Needs (SEN) Reforms.

The biggest transformation to SEN support for 30 years is currently making its way through Parliament. It will give children and parents greater say over their personalised care and assistance, and put in place a new birth-to-25 system for children and young people with SEN.
The reforms will bring forward a new, joined-up approach across education, health and care services from birth to 25 to ensure that support is made available at the earliest possible point, and children and young people fully involved in decisions about their care and what they want to achieve.
The changes are being test-driven by over 2,000 families across 31 councils. Calderdale is proud to be one of these pathfinders.
In partnership with Calderdale MBC, Sector Support Calderdale is hosting the event which will give the opportunity for VCS to update themselves around the SEN transformation and what it means for Calderdale to be a pathfinder as well as how to be involved.

To register your interest in this FREE event, please email Jayne@nbforum.org.uk to reserve a space. A light lunch will be provided so if you have any dietary requirements please let Jayne know, also if you have any special requirements to enable you to access the event.
