At the Age UK Choices Centre, The Square, Woolshops, Halifax, HX1 1RJ on Thursday 28 February 2013 between 10.00 am and 4.30 pm.  We have the capacity to test up to 100 blankets.  Blankets will be tested by G.E.M.S. (SW) Ltd  who specialise in electrical testing and inspection and have worked with Age UK’s for many years.

Please note we are expecting a large number of blankets to be tested so clients will need to make a booking in advance by ringing the Choices Centre on 01422 399830. The testing is for ONE day only.  We will not be providing it at any other time this year.  Please also note that we only carry out a safety screening/electrical test on  blankets.  We do not provide repairs and clients must make their own arrangements to bring their blankets to the centre for testing.  If a blanket fails the screening tests we can replace it free of charge with a washable electric mattress topper of the same size (that is we will replace a single for a single, double for a double, king for a king).  We are unable to offer any other free replacement alternatives such as overblankets.
