The Yorkshire Tykes and Textiles Weekend is a commemoration of the Luddite Uprising in Yorkshire in 1812. The Piece Hall tenants will be hosting displays of Tapestry Hand Weaving, Spinning, Rope Sculpting and Knitting. Over the two days there will be steam engines in the courtyard, an old style carousel and a range of stalls selling textiles.There will be Morris Dancers on the Saturday and the Industrial Museum will be open on Sunday. A children’s quiz will be held. Free Entry, The Piece Hall shops will be open as usual, so why not start some Christmas shopping early!
