Sunday 9 September from 9.45 am in the Main Auditorium at the Victoria Theatre.
Imagine Theatre are offering 8 to 16 year olds (boys and girls) a fantastic opportunity to be part of the chorus in their enchanting and magical pantomime, Beauty and the Beast.
The auditions start at 10am prompt and you should arrive at the Theatre no later than 9.45am.
Registration will be in the Theatre foyer and at least one parent or guardian is asked to wait with each child as the Victoria Theatre and Imagine Theatre Ltd cannot take responsibility for any child not accompanied by a responsible adult while at the auditions.
Auditionees are requested to wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable to move and dance in. They should also bring a soft drink (not fizzy).
The day will be split into two parts.
• In the morning, all children will be auditioned. Those who are successful in the morning will be asked to return for a recall in the afternoon. Those children who are unsuccessful will be allowed to go home.
• Those then recalled for the afternoon auditions will be kept until the final decisions are made later in the afternoon.
There will be a break for a lunch hour, the time of this will be decided on the day, depending upon how many auditionees turn up. Please stay with your child for lunch if they are still with us and have been recalled and bring them back at their designated recall audition time, if they have been given one.
Those children chosen for the panto chorus and their parents will be asked to stay after the audition sessions for a chat about licensing and panto guidelines.
Imagine Theatre are looking for 2 teams of babes plus one full team of reserves. Commitment will be rehearsals most weekend days and school night evenings from 1st December. Then in addition, there will be some daytime rehearsals during w/c 10th December (which does mean missing school). The run takes place from 15th December 2012 to 6th January 2013 inclusive. There are 35 performances in the run, plus technical and dress rehearsals. Your child MUST be available for the whole period as no rehearsals or performances can be missed. Some performances will be during school time and children must be educationally able to miss some schooling. Every child performing requires a performance license – we co-ordinate this but need parental support to help us achieve that.
You do not have to book into this open session, just arrive at 9.45am for a prompt 10am start. Imagine Theatre|
