From 21 July 2012 – 2 September 2012
This summer Eureka are staging a six week outdoor festival to enable families and children to enjoy quality time playing together. Eureka!’s lawns and outside areas will be occupied by three marquees, where families can engage in a range of special events and activities, as well as the usual fun inside the museum.
Visitors will have a different experience on every visit, enjoying the daily themes of:
- Move it Monday – Move it, shake it and enjoy lively fun!
- Tell a Tale Tuesday – Bring stories to life with fabulous fables and terrific tales
- World Wednesday – An explosion of culture, colour and creativity
- Theatre Thursday – its hands-on, hats-off fun with interactive theatre shows for everyone
- Funtime Friday – Anything goes as long as it’s fun, funny and makes us giggle
- Saturday Sounds – We’re all a buzz with noises that harmonise and clatter
- Science Sunday – Prepare for shock and awe as we put the fun back into science.
These themes will be played out in different marquees as well as the main Eureka! building where families can enjoy the festival while learning through play in the permanent exhibitions.
The standard Eureka! The National Children’s Museum ticket is now an Annual Pass which entitles all of the party paid for on the day of the first visit to come back free of charge as many times as they like over the next twelve months.
