Your Future, Your Calderdale

Ipsos MORI have been commissioned by Calderdale Council to ask for people’s views on the Council’s plans for Halifax town centre and Central Library and Archive.

Calderdale Council wants Halifax to be a thriving place to live and do business, to secure a long term future for the area that benefits everyone. The future of the town centre and what happens to the Central Library and Archive are linked.

The consultation closes on 30 September 2012.

If you receive a questionnaire to your home address in July, please fill it in and return to Ipsos MORI in the pre-paid envelope. If you don’t receive a questionnaire at home and would like to give your views on the plans, you can complete the questionnaire online or will be able to pick up a consultation pack at the following locations in Halifax town centre:

  • Halifax Town Hall reception
  • Northgate House reception
  • Central Library and Archive.

More details about these plans are in the ‘Your Calderdale, Your Future’ leaflet Your Calderdale, Your Future [PDF file 1749KB]|PDF file. Please read the leaflet before you complete the questionnaire. More background information, including the documents referred to in the leaflet, can be found in Background documents.

To take part in the consultation visit Your Calderdale, Your Future Questionnaire.

The Council wants to know what people across Calderdale think about these plans – the results will help inform the Council’s decision later in the year.
