Want to make your neighbourhood greener?

Apply now for the chance to receive a free tree pack to plant in November 2012 as part of our Jubilee Woods project.*

Tree packs come in three sizes

  • Small: contains 60 saplings plus a royal oak sapling. Perfect for creating a small copse or short hedgerow
  •  Medium: contains 105 saplings plus a royal oak sapling. Ideal for planting either in small groups of trees or as a hedge (approx 30m)
  •  Large: contains 420 saplings plus a royal oak sapling. Great for creating a long hedge (approx 120m), or divide up and plant at different sites. If planted as a block of trees, there is sufficient for approximately one acre of land.

Who can apply?
Schools, youth groups and community groups in the UK can all apply for a pack, as long as you have permission to plant on some publicly accessible land.

Youth and community groups don’t need to be officially recognised, just a group of people from your local community.

Closing date
Autumn 2012 applications close on 23:59 on 31 July 2012. Due to the popularity of community tree packs as a fantastic way to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee we may have to close earlier than this. Applicants will be contacted with a decision in September and delivery from 5 November 2012.

Questions? If you can’t find an answer to your question on the website then you can contact the community tree pack team by emailing communitytrees@woodlandtrust.org.uk.

Apply now: All the trees are young saplings about 20 – 40 cm high.
